The public can visit and take pictures of the gingerbread display anytime in the Garden Lobby near Opals II. Combined the staff spent over 1,000 hours working on the village. Executive Pastry Chef Jennifer Di Giorgio, Assistant Pastry Chef Megan Brown and the bakers at Turning Stone began baking for this year’s village in the summer. In addition, there is a pond with a New England-style covered bridge. The eight buildings in the exhibit include the farmhouse, barn, general store, hotel, log cabin, English Tudor house, classic split level, and church. This holiday display, with a new archway entrance, is now ready for viewing and will remain on display through the holidays. The eight buildings of this year’s gingerbread village measure about 53 feet long and are made up of 13,000 individual pieces of gingerbread.
